About Chippy's Outdoor Spotted Gum
Spotted Gum is the most popular Australian hardwood decking product due to its intense range and variety of pale and dark brown colours, and the presence of wavy grain that produces an attractive outdoor decking solution! It is a Eucalypt growing in coastal districts from the New South Wales/Victorian border region to Maryborough in Queensland.
NSW Spotted Gum is typically lighter in colour than QLD Spotted Gum.
Seeing as Spotted Gum has a lower tannin content than other decking options it is ideal for areas in which staining is a concern for example around a backyard pool.
Spotted Gum is naturally bush fire resistant, durable and is one of the hardest timbers in Australia with proper maintenance you can expect up to 40 years!
Our quality Spotted Gum Timber Decking has been used by the following home builders for their display homes
