Pre-Primed Treated Pine H3 Exterior Radiata Pine Products are widely available under different brands in the Australian Market.

At Chippy's Outdoor we have access to all brands, although predominantly supply either Design Pine or Woodhouse Weatherproof, two long standing brands in the market.

Pre-Primed Treated Pine is typically used for:- Pergolas, Carports, Verandas, Handrails, Weatherboards, Barge Boards, Fascia, Privacy Screens.

Treated to H3 to prolong life, against fungal decay and termite attacks, h3 products should only be utilised in above ground applications.

ITI Design Pine

Design Pine is a range of structural and decorative timber products coated with a genuine primer. Woodhouse Weatherproof

Woodhouse Weatherproof® is one of Australia’s most popular and trusted H3 exterior treated radiata pine timber products. Manufactured by finger jointing defect-free, radiata pine, available in a range of lengths and profiles, it is factory pre-primed with Dulux Industrial Coating, in Woodhouse's signature colour, Weatherproof Pink.  Eco-friendly and treated using an organic H3 LOSP (Light Organic Solvent Preservative) for resistance against termite and fungal attack.

Painting: Timber is a natural material, and thus the use of light-coloured topcoats is recommended. Dark colours tend to increase the boards' temperature and may lead to problems such as surface checking and resin bleeds. An optimum finish is obtained with two topcoats of quality exterior paints within 8 weeks of installation. First, remove all dirt, etc., and prime all bare areas either with Design Pine exterior primer or an in can timber preservative and a quality outdoor primer. If the primer surface is exposed to weather for an extended period without painting (3+ months), the surface may become chalky. If this happens, sanding and repriming is required.
