Finishing: 

SIMDECK Bamboo are pre-coated with a priming coat of WOCA® penetrating oil. To maintain the original finished look, one to two coats of a UV-resistant decking oil, such as WOCA® Exterior Wood Oil or Intergrain® Ultradeck, should be applied to clean and dry decking per the manufacturier’s recommendation.

A quality timber sealer should be applied after installation to prevent checking and splitting at the end of cut boards. WOCA® Exterior Wood Oil should be reapplied to freshly exposed end grain and penetrations as part of the installation process.

Maintenance: 

SIMDECK Bamboo, if left to weather, will lighten in colour after a period of time. To maintain the original finish look, a UV-resistant decking oil, such as WOCA® Exterior Wood Oil or Intergrain® Ultradeck, should be applied at least once a year.

Cleaning: 

Once every 6 months, cleaning your bamboo decking with warm water, mild dish soap and a non-metallic stiff bristle brush will remove most moulds, pollens, tannins, mildew and dirt.

For a stronger wash, cleaners containing Soldium Percarbonate or Potassium Hydrioxide are recommended and safe to use on SIMDECK Bamboo boards. High-pressure washer should be fitted with a fan nozzle attachment with a wide spray pattern (more than 35°) to prevent damaging the boards.
